La Bénatais is 10 minutes from the beaches at DINARD, an elegant seaside resort
with many imposing villas built at the end of the 18th century when it was much
frequented by wealthy and famous visitors from Britain and America. 15 minutes
away is ST-MALO, with its old walled town, which gave refuge to the 18th century
Corsaires and explorers. But the pearl, in our opinion, is DINAN, 10 minutes drive
away with its medieval Old Town. Another place worth a visit is the Mont Saint-Michel,

du 19ème siècle, à Plouër-sur-Rance, un bourg breton situé au bord de la Rance.
La maison a été rénovée pour que ses hôtes bénéficient du confort moderne dans
un cadre ayant conservé son charme original. Nos hôtes profitent également d'une
terrasse privée prolongée d'un grand jardin fleuri, ils pourront y déguster les
PETITS DEJEUNERS (*voir ci-dessus). La Renardais est décorée avec goût, les poutres
et pierres apparentes s'intègrent parfaitement aux meubles modernes. En hiver,
chauffage central, double vitrage de toutes les fenêtres préservent du froid et
la grande cheminée traditionnelle du vaste salon promet des soirées chaleureuses.
Sol en parquet dans la salle à manger, tapis orientaux aux couleurs vives, murs
ornés d'une belle collection d'aquarelles. Un magnifique escalier originel en
châtaignier pour accéder aux quatre chambres, vous en trouverez les descriptions

beaches are accessible (approachable) all the time and let us to discover tide,
fauna and flora of the breton coast. Excursions are organized from the port to
Brehat island, or trails round in sea, sport fishing is also proposed (informations
in Office of Tourism).It 's also possible to participe in trainings sail (municipal
school of sail) or dive. For golf players « le golf des Ajoncs d'or » in some
kilometres proposes a very beautiful route (course) 18 holes. Neigborhood: but
Brittany is also the country of the music, the traditional and celtic,meetings
(fest noz) or the most surprising festival « des vieilles charrues ». It's also
the country of stones: calvaries, abbayes (Beauport near Paimpol) chapels (Kermaria
and its polychroma from XIII century) churches etc...and that of the pedestrian
circuits, circuit of cliffs which dominates the little port on pilotis of Gwin
Zegall (V century) circuit of GR 34 which goes along and dominate the sea. And
the flower on the top of the breton cake it's a day in Brehat island, without

une petite commune sur les bords du Trieux , fameuse pour son Château de La Roche
Jagu qui surplombe l'estuaire. Montez à bord du Train à Vapeur qui vous mènera
jusqu'à Paimpol, la cité maritime. Après ces balades, vous trouverez calme et
repos dans notre demeure du XIXe située dans la campagne, où un accueil chaleureux
et attentionné vous attendra. Le gîte, situé à l'extrémité de notre maison peut
accueillir 5 personnes. Il est indépendant et possède une cour et un grand jardin
privatif de 600 m². Les 4 chambres que nous vous proposons sont situées dans la

Like
many Breton towns, Pontrieux is medieval in origin, owing its existence and
its prosperity to its position at the head of an estuary, which was the site of
the first bridge over the river Trieux. For a long time the Trieux estuary at
this point had the only link between the areas of Trégor and Goëlo and meant that
Pontrieux was a bustling inland port. Today it offers a navigation route perfect
for pleasure craft but once was much exploited to great effect by the Vikings.
With its two “triangular squares”, Pontrieux extends down towards a marina, which
allows modern day visitors to set sail for the islands of Bréhat, Jersey and Guernsey.
Spanning a viaduct and two bridges, the town is perfect for a gentle stroll, even
at night when a wonderful civic illumination highlights the washhouses (of which
there are over 50), 16th century half-timbered and 19th century dressed stone
houses, an 18th century granite fountain and the famous 16th century "Tour Eiffel'Eiffel"
house. There are many fetes and activities in the high season and a steam engine
hauled train between the port's railway station and Paimpol on the coast. The
town is popular with many visitors of all nationalities, attracted by its history,
as well as its modern charm, with many artists and artisans having exhibitions
and workshops in the area. Pontrieux has a small local market every Monday. There
are other (larger) markets in the area including; Paimpol on a Tuesday, St Brieuc
on a Wednesday & Saturday, Treguier on a Wednesday, Lannion on a Thursday and
Guingamp on a Friday & Saturday.
