Lannion is the gateway to the Pink Granite Coast (côte de Granit rose ). It is the second most important town in the Côtes d'Armor and it is a perfect place to go touring from. It is also the capital of the Trégor region. It unites the advantages of a charming old town with those of a great technological centre. The town has a wealthy historical and architectural heritage. To be fully aware of it, all you need to do is go to the Place du Général Leclerc (Général Leclerc Square) and admire the three beautiful half-timbered houses (17th C), or the corbelled constructions covered in slate. The Rue du Chapelier (Hatmaker's street) is street that has the oldest houses (16th C). A little higher up, Place du Marchallac'h (Marchallac'h Square) you can admire two tourelle residences.
